Bassos Consulting Group (“we,” “us”) operates bassosconsulting.com. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the site, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Contact form. When you use the Get in Touch form, we receive the name, email address, phone number, and message you provide. The form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which may collect device and browsing information under Google’s privacy policy.
Newsletter. If you subscribe to The Behavioral Brief, your email address is stored with our newsletter provider, beehiiv, and used only to send the newsletter. Every issue includes an unsubscribe link.
Purchases. When you buy a resource packet, your name, email address, and billing details are collected to complete the order. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number. Order records are kept so you can access your downloads and so we can meet tax and accounting obligations.
Usage data. Like most websites, our hosting and analytics tools record standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and referring site. We use this in aggregate to understand how the site is used.
How we use information
We use the information above to respond to your inquiry, deliver products you purchase, send the newsletter you asked for, keep the site secure, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Case-related information
Information shared with us in the course of an expert witness or consulting engagement is handled under the terms of that engagement and applicable professional and legal standards, not under this website policy. Please do not submit confidential case details through the website contact form.
Service providers
We rely on a small number of providers to run the site: our web host, Stripe (payments), beehiiv (newsletter), and Google (reCAPTCHA and fonts). Each receives only the information needed to perform its service.
Cookies
The site uses cookies needed for the checkout and download features to work and, where enabled, analytics cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the store may not function without essential cookies.
Retention
Contact form messages are kept as long as needed to respond and follow up. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Order records are kept for the period required by tax and accounting rules.
Your choices
You can ask us to correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to unsubscribe you from the newsletter, by emailing jamie@bassosconsulting.com.
Children
This site is intended for legal professionals and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
